Women's Health PCR Pathogen

About this Testing

Women’s Health PCR Pathogen – Panel/Profile

The Women’s Health PCR panel (Women’s-Health-PCR) is a diagnostic test that uses a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique to detect the presence of specific genetic material of various pathogens in samples from the female reproductive system.

The Women’s Health PCR panel may also include tests for other infections, such as bacterial vaginosis, candidiasis (yeast infection), and group B streptococcus (GBS).

This panel is commonly used in women’s health clinics and gynecology practices to screen for and diagnose infections of the female reproductive system. Early detection and treatment of these infections can help prevent complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility, and certain types of cancer.
