Hepatic Panel (HEPP)
The Hepatic Panel (HEPP) is a group of blood tests that evaluate the function of the liver and assess for liver damage or disease. The panel typically includes several different tests that measure various markers of liver function, including liver enzymes, bilirubin, and albumin.
The HEPP is typically ordered when a patient has symptoms of liver disease, such as jaundice, abdominal pain, or nausea, or when a healthcare provider suspects liver damage or disease based on other factors, such as medication use or alcohol consumption. The test results can help diagnose and monitor liver disease and guide appropriate treatment and management.
