Renal Panel (GPSL-REN)

The Renal Panel (GPSL-REN) is a group of blood tests that measures the levels of various substances in the blood to assess kidney function. These tests are used to diagnose and monitor conditions affecting the kidneys, such as kidney disease or damage.

The Renal Panel is typically ordered when an individual has symptoms of kidney dysfunction, such as decreased urine output, swelling of the legs or ankles, or unexplained fatigue. The test may also be ordered to monitor the effectiveness of treatment for kidney conditions or to screen individuals at high risk of developing kidney disease, such as those with a family history of the disease or with diabetes or high blood pressure. The results of the Renal Panel can help guide appropriate treatment and management of conditions affecting the kidneys.
